OBJECTIVES

WUT Colloquium Lectures organized by the Center for Advanced Studies is a forum for presentation, discussion and familiarization of contemporary achievements in science and technology. The meetings aim at implementing and disseminating ideas which foster the development of interdisciplinary scientific research and innovation. Colloquium Lectures are a part of the Advanced Studies Offer; they inspire researchers in the choice of research disciplines. The process is facilitated by maintaining close relations among the Center and other research centers in Poland and abroad.

The Colloquium Lectures consist of talks, seminars and expert seminars. They are presented as achievement "reports" in dynamically developing disciplines, significant for substantial improvement in education. The lectures broaden knowledge and the cognitive spectrum of the audience. It is also possible to hold short courses completed with a diploma.

The supervision over the Colloquium Lectures lies within the competence of the WUT Colloquium Lectures Council - Its members represent various scientific disciplines and carry out innovative research projects. The Council aims at creating a real interdepartmental and intercollegiate cooperation system and, at the same time, prepare up-dated educational and research offer corresponding with the contemporary forms of education and research stimulation.
