Grading rules

You will be required to write two midterm tests, with maximum score of 16 points each. You can also get up to 8 points for your classroom activity. There will be no make-up tests.
On top of that you will be required to sit a final exam. The maximum score on the final is 60 points. Oral exams take place only in exceptional cases, for example if the total score is inconclusive, or the final exam score is obviously inconsistent with in-semester performance of the examinee.
Final grades are calculated according to the following table, where 'points' stands for the total number of points, i.e. in-semester plus the final.
For spring semester 2017/18 only:
Students with semester score of 34 points or more are exempt from final exam. Students with scores of at least 34 points but less than 38 are getting a B, those with at least 38 are getting a B+. In order to get an A the student has to take an oral exam. Which means: TESILJ, MARWOJ are offered B+, SWIJAN, JABKAR, TUAMAI, ZDAARK, KACEMI, KANMIC, NIKZAH, WOJJAK and GRZSEB are offered B.

To pass the course on the basis of a retake exam you need to score more than 50%. Points collected during the term are lost.

The penalty for cheating is 0 points for the test and 5 (10 in case of the final exam) penalty points to be subtracted from the total.
